National Academies Roundtable

DWIH San Francisco was delighted to attend the twelfth meeting of the National Academies’ National Science, Technology, and Security Roundtable on January 23, 2024 at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. This Roundtable featured an opportunity to engage with members of government and the academic, law enforcement, and national security communities.

We had the opportunity to:

  • Discuss best practices on research security by universities, research institutions, and industry
  • Hear concerns from universities, research institutions, and industry about foreign research security threats
  • Gather input on the impact that federal actions on research security have.
  • Raise awareness of and identify tools to facilitate research and promote research security and integrity
  • Hear the latest updates on NSPM-33, the CHIPs and
    Science Act security requirements, and other regulations from federal agency representatives
