Munich, June 22, 2023 – The DWIH Network Day took place in Munich based on the joint initiative of the Bavarian University Center for Latin America (BAYLAT) and the central office of the German Centers for Research and Innovation (DWIH) in the DAAD.
The German Centers for Research and Innovation (DWIH) are an association of German science organizations, universities and the research-based industry. At six locations worldwide, DWIH enables German innovators to appear together, offers a showcase for the performance of German research and connects them with local cooperation partners. The DWIH office in the DAAD is responsible for central coordination.
When introducing the program, the President of the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences and BAYLAT board member, Prof. Dr. Uta M. Feser, emphasized the importance of the event, which for the first time brought together representatives of the DWIH locations in New Delhi, New York, San Francisco, São Paulo and Tokyo with Bavarian university representatives in Munich. This was followed by the greetings from Dr. Markus Wittmann, Head of Internationalization, Location Policy, Invest Bavaria at StMWi, and Dr. Johannes Eberle, head of the research and science system department in the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art.
